Description

The House of David Inscription from Tel Dan dates to the 9th century BCE. The 13-line fragmented inscription mentions not only the “house of David,” but also several kings of Israel: Jehoram, Ahab, Ahaziyahu. The text corroborates events that occur in 2 Kings 8:7-15; 2 Kings 8:28 and 2 Kings 9:15-16. Materials: Clay, produced in the Holy Land.
